The perfect recognition gift for achievement or Australian heritage, this replica $100 note is made from 99.99% pure gold mounted in acrylic crystal to display both sides in a handsome desk top mount.

The note designed by Bruce Stewart in 1996 features the images of engineer and WWI General Sir John Monash with soprano Dame Nellie Melba on the obverse. Sir John Monash (27 June 1865 – 8 October 1931) was a civil engineer who became an Australian military commander in the First World War. Born in Dudley Street West Melbourne, he played a major role in introducing reinforced concrete to Australian engineer practice. Dame Nellie Melba (19 May 1861 – 23 February 1931) was an Australian opera soprano. Born at Doonside in Richmond Victoria, she became one of the most famous singers of the early 20th century and the first Australian to achieve international recognition as a classical musician.
